Abe and The Little Red Hen....

I honor of President's Day, last Friday we explored and investigated the......

PENNY.

We used magnify glasses to take a closer look at the 16th president.
We used our fingers to rub the ridges on the side of the coin.
We used a medicine dropper to count how many drops of water a penny could hold...

Our penny rubbings....

We did the water trick again... they really did like this. With most of the experiments, our pennies held about 25 drops of water.

We also red the tale, The Little Red Hen and learned a very valuable lesson...
we do not want to be lazy because we want get this great treat from the hen...
