We made Oscar the Octopus who lives in the ocean.
I can give out compliment stickers for being good and sweet little kindergartners.
If you are not in the know.... each child has a chart in their supply box. They earn stickers from me if I catch them doing the right thing. When the chart is full, they get to eat with me, I give them a special treat, and they get a trip to the treasure box.

We are currently studying birds. This week, we discussed how birds' beaks correlate with the type of food they eat. The children were given a clothespin (similar to a parrots beak) , a Popsicle stick (comparable to a hummingbirds' long slender beak) and marshmallows to eat. They quickly discovered that a clothespin made a better beak for eating marshmallows.
And because we were in school for 5 straight days, we were able to have a little wrist band time and explore around the room.
Being caught putting on a puppet show...
