November Happenings....

Another month of kindergarten has come and gone. I am sorry for not posting sooner but time gets away from me... I just need about three more hours in a day.

The month of November we discussed Autumn, how animals prepare for winter, and celebrated Thanksgiving. The weather did not allow us to go on our Fall Nature Walk, but we were able to bring nature indoors. The children enjoyed using our science tools to investigate the leaves that were collected from their homes.

Looking at all of the characteristics of the different types of leaves with our magnify glasses.

We got really up close...

After we compared the leaves stems, edges, and sizes, we made leaf rubbings.

We made our turkey hats so we would be festive while feasting on our Thanksgiving Dinner in the cafeteria.

Relaxing and Reading...

Working with our 3-D shapes...

Our Thanksgiving Snack...
(Apple Juice, Apple Sauce, Corn Bread, Corn on the Cob, and Deer Roast)

I am always amazed how many kindergartners will try deer roast:)

Look at those letters.... and without any help!
Do you think he is proud?

I hope you were blessed this Thanksgiving and are ready for a fun Christmas Season!
