It has been a long time since I posted a picture or story on here so please forgive me.  The above is our Halloween Craft of Gritch the Witch from the story Piggy Pie.  This is always a favorite of mine and of the children.

The kids were so cute playing in these leaves.  I have never noticed a class play in the leaves like this group did.... the simple things I guess:)

The first days of school...

The first days are always exciting... meeting new friends.... getting to see ALL the different places at school... playground... the gym... then the newness wears off.  That's were it gets hard for me, the teacher, but here is what we have been doing to learn and have fun while doing it.

Meet My Newest Friends...

I have a new bunch of kindergartners and what a great bunch of kids they are!

We have done so much in the first two weeks that I cannot wait to see the places we will go this year.  What a wonderful beginning to the 2012 school year! 

Here is a peek in the sweet world of kindergarten...

Waiting for wings...

If you have not heard yet, this month we had five class pets.  I ordered caterpillars for our class to watch change into butterflies.

They came in a cup and we got to watch them eat and eat and eat.

 We also made a few crafts along the way.

They all came out to play about two weeks ago.

And we released them this week to fly around our playground.

 

 Waiting for them to fly out.  We did not think they were going to leave because it took some time.

A lot of Happenings....

We have been very busy in Kindergarten so here is the list of Happenings...
1. Walk-A-Thon!!!! We had a blast walking laps and drinking cokes. Brooke was the girl with the most laps and Gavin was the boy with the most. Way to go guys. Know we just need some donations for our great work.
